New Zealand Artist Ingrid Boot Announces Launch With Leading U.S. Gallery DTR Modern
New Zealand artist Ingrid Boot has been invited to join DTR Modern, one of the United States’ most established contemporary art galleries, marking a significant milestone in her international career.
DTR Modern — with flagship galleries in Boston, New York, Washington D.C., and Palm Beach — is a long established U.S. gallery known for its strong collector base and its presentation of modern and contemporary masters, including Picasso, Warhol, and Lichtenstein, alongside a roster of leading contemporary artists. Ingrid’s inclusion places her within a respected international network and introduces her work to a broad U.S. audience.
To celebrate the partnership, Ingrid has unveiled the first release from a new body of work with five paintings debuting at DTR Modern Palm Beach.
Her new series, titled Socialite Society, is inspired by the iconic visual language of Slim Aarons and blends cinematic composition with a distinctly modern, feminine sensibility. The works have already attracted interest from collectors on both sides of the Pacific.
“Ingrid’s work has a striking sense of atmosphere and narrative,” says Miranda Girard, Director at DTR Modern. “There’s a confidence and clarity in her compositions that immediately resonated with us. We’re excited to introduce her voice to our collectors and to support this next stage of her international growth.”
Reflecting on the launch, Ingrid Boot says: “It’s incredibly meaningful to see this series find a home in Palm Beach. These works were created with a sense of place, light, and nostalgia, and I’m thrilled they’ll be experienced by an audience in a place that helped inspire them.”
The paintings went on show in Palm Beach Thursday 9th April.
